James A. Miller

Jimmy Miller was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, watching his mother do volunteer work for local Jewish organizations and his older brother attend Hebrew school and become bar mitzvahed. He developed a "Jewish heart" at an early age. Moving to Cincinnati to start a career, after having graduated from Harvard Business School, a successful career in finance followed. Active participation in the Jewish Federation, the JCC, American Jewish Committee, as well as Xavier University and Ursuline Academy exemplified a generosity consisting of his substantial commitment of time and financial resources. A man with a deep commitment to tzedakah, he has always wished to make certain that a legacy would compel others to follow his example.
