Josephine G. Stillpass

Josephine Stillpass was born and raised in Cincinnati. Her father, Sol Goodman, was born in Russia and experienced the pogroms. He arrived in Cincinnati at 12 years old. An accomplished attorney, he was also very involved in the Jewish community, which set an example for Josephine.

She married her husband Stanford 6 months after they met. Stanford was born in Cincinnati, the youngest of four. They had two children together, and five grandchildren.

Josephine is a generous supporter of Adath Israel, as is her son. She is making this gift to help future generations, and ensure that the places that were important to them, remain for their children and grandchildren.
