Joyce* and Paul Heiman

When Paul Heiman fled Germany with his parents in 1938, he left with an appreciation for life that would influence his 62-year marriage to his late wife, Joyce, the family they would raise together, and their extensive community involvement. Paul’s father was struggling to find work in depression-era Cincinnati, when he decided to start Standard Textile. His parents taught Paul more than textiles; as their success expanded, he remembers them always looking for more ways to help those in need. Paul hopes that his three sons and eight grandchildren will continue the family tradition of looking outside themselves and caring for the wider community.
