Fleischmann’s Yeast
Brothers Charles and Maximilian Fleischmann left Austria-Hungary in 1868 for a better life in the U.S. They patented a yeast cake, making home baking more consistent and tastier. Flash man's East became a household name after the brothers brought it to Philadelphia's Centennial Exposition in 1876. It is still produced today.
