Jennie Mannheimer

Cincinnati-born Jennie Mannheimer established the Cincinnati School of Expression in 1894, where students learned the art of clear and expressive speech. Mannheimer directed the drama department at Cincinnati College of Music from 1900-1907, and in 1913, she performed a series of modern drama readings at Cincinnati Women’s Club. She went on to perform in New York City, where she changed her professional name to Jane Manner.
